How do I enrol my child? We would love to find your child a place at The Montessori Farm! We are currently accepting waitlist applications found under 'Enquire Now'. These waitlists are regularly reviewed and after you have submitted an application families will be contacted to confirm and discuss your child's needs further.

What if my child has dietary or allergy requirements? Here at The Montessori Farm, we are passionate about ensuring all children have access to early learning and have protocols and resources in place in our centre to support children's specific dietary and additional needs. Please contact us so we can work together to support your child's individual needs.

What financial support and rebates are available? Our centre is classed as a Long Day Care so parents shall benefit Government Subsidies such as CCS (Child Care Support). If you would like to access a reduction in your childcare fees you need to apply for the Child Care Subsidy through your MyGov account. As part of the Child Care Subsidy, the number of hours of subsidised care you’ll be entitled to will be based on your level of recognised activity. Understanding the different types of activity that will be recognised is key to maximising your Child Care Subsidy.

How does the Montessori approach differ?Unlike traditional classrooms, the teacher has an unobtrusive rule, observing and encouraging self discipline. Children discover concepts at their own pace from self-correcting materials rather than being introduced to concepts from teachers in an allocated time. Children reinforce their own learning through repetition and internal feeling of success compared to their work being corrected for them with errors pointed out by the teacher.
-
Are all Montessori programs the same? Not every Montessori programme is the same. Each reflects the personalities of the adults running the programme, so no two Montessori programmes are exactly alike and each should be judged individually. Each Montessori teacher training organisation is somewhat different, however each programme follows the five traditional areas of learning, outlined in Our Curriculum.
-
Who has attended a Montessori school? The success of the Montessori method can be seen through the lives of Montessori educated children including: - Prince William and Prince Harry - George Clooney - Anne Frank - Julia Child - Jeff Bezos (founder of AMAZON.com) - Larry Page (founder of Google.com) - Jimmy Wales (founder of Wikipedia) - Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Nobel Prize winner: Literature) - Jackie Onassis (former First Lady of the United States)
