A day at the Farm

Unique learning opportunities.

Children have unique learning opportunities including a hobby farm, with miniature goats, sheep and chickens, and a dedicated Farmer who works alongside the children in our veggie garden.

Our Farm

Welcome to our amazing 6-acre farm, where our animals are hand-raised by the children themselves. They head into the paddock to feed, care for and spend time with our cows, sheep and goats, and collect eggs from our happy chickens.

Our Curriculum

Child-led learning, hands-on.

Our curriculum is inspired by the Montessori approach to early childhood education. The Montessori educational approach emphasizes child-led learning, hands-on exploration, and the holistic development of each individual student.

We promote each child's independence, teaching them the skills to do things for themselves — the thing we talk about most with our families.

This, blended with our farm, provides a rich and beautiful experience for our children.

Our Key Values

Three key value areas, every day.

We sustain 3 key value areas throughout our daily routines.

01

Safety

The children's health and safety sit at the core of our decision making, building their security in a nurturing way.

02

Nurture

The second step, where children build trusting relationships with peers and educators — fostering emotional and physical safety, and an optimal base for developing independence through academics.

03

Academics

The third step which helps our children acquire extensive knowledge in a fun way.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with this daycare and couldn’t be happier with the care our son receives. The educators are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in each child’s development and wellbeing.

Dinner times used to be an absolute nightmare because our daughter refused to touch anything green on her plate. That completely shifted once she started going here and actually growing the food herself. I am constantly hearing about the goats and the fresh veggies she picked.

My son has been at the Montessori Farm for 2 months now. I have noticed huge differences in his behaviour. Packing away toys at home used to be a battle, but now he will pack away his toys before he plays with something else at home without me even asking!

The educators at The Montessori Farm are some of the most caring, professional, accommodating and wonderful people you’ll ever meet. … From heart-warming animal interactions, large natural playground spaces to explore and a teaching method inspired by Montessori. It’s a special place.

My son has only recently started at The Montessori Farm and so far it has been a wonderful experience. He is so happy to get ready in the morning and no sad goodbyes at the gate like I’ve experienced previously. His teacher, Ms Christina, sees the kids interests and wants to nurture them.

10/10 this centre is so loving and welcoming every day, my 3 yr old son was moved from another centre due to poor care and I was worried to put him into another centre, but 100% glad I moved him to here he loves this centre so much…

My son has been attending this centre for about 14 months and we absolutely love it. We will be moving away from the Gold Coast soon, and The Farm is the only thing we are sad to be leaving behind. It’s a truly unique place, and suits us to a tee.

Our Story

A heartfelt journey, begun in 2019.

Janet, and her son Tristan, embarked on a heartfelt journey in 2019 to create a one-of-a-kind early learning service. Their vision was to provide a nurturing environment where children can thrive, explore, and learn, all while caring for the farm animals they help raise.

With plenty of space for creativity and play, this unique setting fosters a love for learning and in every child.
